These terms apply when you use TheCrowd, a supporter-bar and matchday discovery service operated from the United States. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use TheCrowd.
The English version is the canonical version of these terms. The service is offered in English first, with other languages provided as a courtesy.
Using the service
You may use TheCrowd to discover bars, RSVP to watch parties, check in on matchday, and (if you own or represent a venue) claim and manage a bar's listing. You agree to use the service in good faith and in compliance with applicable law.
Bar listings are community-sourced
Most bar listings on TheCrowd are submitted by fans, scraped from public sources, or contributed by supporter chapters. We surface the source and a trust tier on every listing, but we cannot guarantee that every detail — address, hours, amenities, which teams a bar shows — is current. Always confirm matchday details with the venue directly, especially for travel and large groups.
Owner and operator claims
If you operate a bar listed on TheCrowd, you can claim it through our claim flow. Claims are verified — we do not automatically transfer ownership of a listing to anyone who asks. Verification may include email at the venue's domain, a posted code on premises, or another reasonable signal.
Once a claim is verified, you can update bar details, respond to activity, and manage matchday information for your venue. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you publish through the claim.
Events and watch parties
Kickoff times, broadcasters, and watch-party details come from a mix of third-party fixture data and venue submissions. This information can change with little notice — kickoffs are moved, broadcasters re-arrange schedules, and bars adjust which matches they will show. TheCrowd surfaces this information on a best-effort basis and does not guarantee that any specific event will take place at any specific venue.
Location and check-ins
When you check in at a bar, we use your device location only to confirm proximity to the venue at the moment of check-in. We do not track a continuous location trail. If you decline the location prompt, proximity-verified check-in is unavailable but the rest of the service is not affected. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Acceptable use
When you use TheCrowd, you agree not to:
- Submit listings, claims, or content you know to be inaccurate or misleading.
- Spam or harass other users, venue owners, or our team.
- Impersonate another person, a bar, a supporter chapter, or a team.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service.
- Use the service to promote unlawful or unsafe activity.
We can remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules. We try to do so proportionally and with notice where practical, but we reserve the right to act immediately when the violation is serious.
User-submitted content
When you submit content to TheCrowd — a new bar listing, a correction, a check-in note, a profile photo — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content within the service and in associated channels (search snippets, social previews, app store listings). You retain ownership of your content.
You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
Not a safety service
TheCrowd is a discovery and matchday tool. It is not an emergency, safety, or security service. Do not rely on the service to confirm that a venue is open, safe, accessible, or suitable for any particular person. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that listings are accurate, that fixtures will be shown at the times listed, that bars will honor RSVPs, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheCrowd and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service — including, for example, missing a match because a bar changed its plans or a kickoff was rescheduled. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for most users, is zero).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
